About Myles

Myles Davidson is a proud fourth-generation Oklahoman with deep roots in Oklahoma County. Raised in Choctaw, he graduated from Choctaw High School and then studied at Rose State College and the University of Oklahoma. During his time at OU, Myles immersed himself in the conservative values that define our great state, starting as a volunteer for a Republican campaign for the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He later made his mark as the State Field Director for the reelection campaign of Republican U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe.

A true champion for Oklahoma and its hardworking families, Myles began his dedicated public service in 2009 as Deputy Commissioner under Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan. Here, he took the reins of the County’s daily operations, later stepping up as Chief Deputy Commissioner for Commissioner Kevin Calvey before being elected as commissioner in 2022.

Throughout his career, Myles has worked hand-in-hand with state and local officials to advance key infrastructure projects in Oklahoma County, focusing on transportation, water, and vital resources. He participated in the National Academy of Sciences to talk about transportation issues across the country, and has been appointed to several policy committees with the National Association of County Officials (NACO).  Moreover, through his leadership, he has modernized the County’s road-building practices, championing the use of innovative materials that save taxpayers millions.

Myles' commitment to his community is evident. His family has owned and operated successful businesses in Oklahoma County for over 50 years, contributing to the local economy. He is an active member of the Edmond Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Authority, was chosen for the Tinker Air Force Base Honorary Commander program, and has completed the ROADS Scholar Program through the OSU Center for Local Government Technology. An educational certification series that focuses on the technical aspects of planning, maintaining, and constructing roads and bridges.

As a Commissioner, Myles is resolute in enhancing public safety by supporting our law enforcement officers, promoting economic growth, combating federal overreach, and ensuring the infrastructure of Oklahoma County remains strong. He prioritizes responsible economic development that respects the values of our community while advocating for fiscal responsibility.

Myles and his wife of 20 years, Marilyn, are proud residents of Edmond, where they live with their son, and are actively engaged in the community.
